5 Ideas to Help You Get Started Making Passive Income

I believe making passive income is a critical step in being in a position to pursue your purpose.  So, here are a few ideas that I’m using to create passive income that hopefully you’ll be able to use also.

Five Passive Income Ideas

  1. Build a niche blog.  There are many ways to monetize a blog, but niche blogs usually focus on selling affiliate products and generating revenue through Google Adsense.  As I write this post, Jackie Lee at Internet Marketing for Mommies is doing a series of posts showing her readers how to start a niche blog.  So far it’s been a great step-by-step series that’s very newbie friendly.  I highly recommend getting on Jackie’s list and following along.
  2. Write and sell a short ebook.  Everyone knows enough about something to write a short (<50 pages) ebook about it.  I’ve written and am currently editing an ebook giving tips on how to handle your own auto accident claim.  You can do the same thing with something in your profession or a hobby you love.  Take your knowledge and turn it into passive income.
  3. Create a Squidoo lens (or several).  Squidoo is a simple, free platform for creating webpages from where you can sell affiliate products.  There is a lot of information and many products available to show you how to use Squidoo to generate passive income.  But, the premiere product on the market, that provides a step-by-step process for doing so, is One Week Marketing by PotPie Girl.
  4. Create hubs.  Hubpages is a different type of platform than Squidoo is.  Instead of focusing on affiliate sells, Hubpages are good for generating Google Adsense income.  By creating valuable content in several hubs, you can generate a nice channel of passive income through Hubpages.  Here’s a recent hub I created on the next passive income channel I’ll talk about.
  5. Sign up for Sponsored Tweets.  If you are already tweeting, Sponsored Tweets is a way to make money doing it.  I’ve done an entire Sponsored Tweets lens so I won’t repeat the information here.  But make sure you check out my lens for all the details.  It’s worth it.
